Does your city have....?

I'm looking for cities that have outdoor water fountains. Just got back from Madison, Wisconsin. They have one in their outdoor mall, surrounded by flowers with benches so you can sit and enjoy it. They also have an indoor year round tropical garden complete with a waterfall. Does your city have anything like these? I'd love to visit places like that but don't know where they are. Thanks.
Does your city have....?
I am originally from Kansas City... AKA the city of fountains.

It's great make sure to visit the many fountains on the Plaza.

There are also some great botanical gardens.
Reply:our fountain in our town is not really worth visiting, but they have some good ones in San Francisco.
Reply:In Saint Paul, MN at Harriet Island, there are a few drinking fountains outdoors. As you walk along the Mississippi River enjoying the beauty of nature and listening to shore birds, watching people dock their yachts and houseboats. You can also schedule a showboat tour at www.riverrides.com
Reply:Pittsburgh has a great big fountain right where the three rivers meet...there's also a ton of historical sites, museums of all kinds (sports, science, art, Warhol, etc.)

I think everyone should come out here at least once.
Reply:Thanks for visiting our beautiful city--Madison, Wisconsin ! The outdoor Mall you referred to is the Library Mall on the University campus. There are more water features around the state Capitol building on the square. The indoor tropical garden is called Olbrich Garden. Isn't it a grand place to visit? Earlier this year, it held a wonderful Dale Chihuly style glass art show, and once a year you can visit the butterflies as they hatch. Madison is located on an isthmus, between 2 lakes-Monona and Mendota. There are 4 altogether, including Wingra and Waubesa. 3 are connected by the Yahara River and 1 is spring fed. So, if you like water and lakes, this is the city to visit. We also have a great free zoo, athletic center, convention center, and a wonderful center for the Arts. Our University of Wisconsin (Go Badgers) football team is ranked no. 5 in the nation. University basketball and hockey are also popular. Madison also is home to a semi-pro baseball team, the Mallards. There must be something good about all this water--we also have several good microbreweries in town. Come and visit us, anytime!!
