Would it look strange if i wore a dress to my wedding reception that wasnt a main wedding color?

here is a dress i found that fits my body type p-e-r-f-e-c-t-l-y but its in a bright "watermelon" pink color. my wedding colors are aqua and black. the flowers will be all kinds of bright tropical colors though. could i pull off this pink dress or would it seem out of place?

You're the bride so you can wear whatever you want. No you won't look strange.
Reply:I don't think YOU have to match your wedding decor. Theme colours are just to make the table settings look cohesive and the bridal boquets look the same. I think the matchy-match thing being extended to the bride is a bit extreme.

We're having a black and white (with a bit of silver) for our wedding colours, but I LOVE pink, I have pink stones in my engagement ring and there will be pink accents in my wedding dress. I will also carry pink flowers. By no means is one of our wedding colours pink. There won't really be pink at our reception either (except for me). So don't worry too much about matching your table linens. Wear what you want.
Reply:You could always incorporate pink into the decor somewhere to tie the dress in, but you don't need to blend into your wedding colors. It's your day, don't be afraid to stand out!

Also, when I clicked on the link for the dress, the website offered suggestions of other dresses I might like, and one of them was the exact same dress in black and white. Maybe that would make you feel more comfortable.
Reply:Well, as the bride, you should stick out....

So you will be achieving that with this dress...

I like it.

Maybe you could find some pink crystals to add to the decorations, if you really want to add a touch of pink to the reception site, to match...

Like these, but in pink...
Reply:I'm pretty anal about things matching, but in the end, it's your wedding. You should have what you want. The flowers and decor could be a great way to bring in the bright pinks, and if you love the dress, you should wear it. Enjoy your big day!!!
Reply:Are you wearing this as your wedding dress or just something for the reception? The colors do not go. Maybe you can order the dress in another color.
Reply:you can wear whatever you want and what your are comfortable in. If you have all tropical color flowers I think the ress will look beautiful
Reply:Ah, it would actually only look strange if you didn't wear your wedding dress to the reception!

But it's a pretty dress you show. The color doesn't matter.
Reply:not at all. you should just match one thing: either color or shape or theme, but not all. you have a "colorfull" theme and it looks very "summerish" and live.

actually i love your dress.
Reply:Try to make this kind of pink an accent color somewhere.... Even if you couldn't make that happen, wear it anyway! If you love it then that's reason enough. It's YOUR wedding. :)
Reply:Wow.

Personally, I Think Aqua With Watermelon Pink Would Go Pretty Well. I'd LOVE To See How That Looks

But Ultimately, It's Your Choice

=)
Reply:get it dyed aqua= ) professionaly..
Reply:You'll be beautiful in that dress.
Reply:I guess it will be fine. Why aren't you going to wear your wedding dress?
Reply:you should find some way to incorporate your colors into it. Why dont you keep your wedding dress on?
Reply:Wear whatever you like. You do want to stand out, right?
Reply:it's your wedding do what you wish
