Help!!! I can't decide on Wedding Colors. I am getting married the summer of 2008.?

I want to have pink and red in my flower bouquets, but dont want my girls to wear either color dress. I need ideas on wedding colors for dresses that match pink and red flowers. Most likely either going the rose route or either a tropical look to the flowers with lilies and orchirds.
Help!!! I can't decide on Wedding Colors. I am getting married the summer of 2008.?
I had the WORST time finding mine too. I think i've changed my colors BILLIONS of times. I even did it after my fiance's mother started to sew our quilt for her traditional gift. She is so sick of me changing colors that she is just throwing in every color she owns.

But anywho

I finally found my colors after i bought a boquet from albertson's kinda cheesy but it worked. I loved the colors of the paper that was wrapped around the flowers. its a light dusty pink and a warm brown. so boom there are my colors and now i have my pink brides maid dresses!
Reply:TRY SHADES OF GREEN - THE SUBLTE MORE SUBDUES SHADES. SUCH AS A LIGHT MOSS - OR MUTED PEA GREEN. I KNOW IT MAY SEEM OFF, BUT IT WOULD BE A GREAT BACK COLOR AND YOUR FLOWERS AND ACCENT COLORS WILL POP. PLUS IT IS A GREAT ACCENT FOR YOU BEING IN WHITE.
Reply:A light apricot or peach would work, depending upon the shade of pink you are using. A pale yellow would work. Just don't go into the browns...
Reply:Good Luck to you!

If you don't just have two favorite colors off the top of yalls heads------ Then pick two colors that represent yalls personalities on the average. I once decorated my bedroom in Navy %26amp; Candy Apple Red, to show the contrast/ the boldness---the two of us came to each other with. We both liked the patriotic colors as well, so I went with them in our room. The room had a energy all of it's own!!!
Reply:I could see those colors looking good with a neutral, maybe like champagne. Brown is kind of a hip new color, but depending on the dress, might be a little harsh for a summer wedding.
Reply:i love orchirds, and pink rose but not deep color roses.
Reply:what about an off-white?

cream or beige.

don't use blue, green, orange. it will clash and look nasty.

maybe a neutral [black or brown]

if your wedding dress is white, you can't use it for obvious reasons.
Reply:Try a soft shade such as ivory or soft champagne color as to enhance your flowers. Keep with a soft shade as the flowers are already in bold colors. You want to balance out your color theme. Or a combination of soft pale yellow with some sort of insert of ivory sash perhaps. Try David's Bridal online, they have tools to mix and match different accessories for your wedding party. Congrats and Good Luck!
Reply:Most women already own a little black dress. Ask all the girls to wear a little black dress. The dresses do not have to be identical. Pink and red flowers will just pop against black.

Look for photos of this at theknot.com.

Good luck to you.
Reply:sage green, and all shades of pinks, from very light to the almost red shade of pink

also lime green flowers are becoming very popular
Reply:i think blue would look cute along with yellow.
Reply:i like the idea of going with rose route as a color
Reply:How about having a 3rd color in the bouquets, one that would look good for your bridesmaids dresses as well. What about pink, red, and green? I think that would be pretty.
Reply:There are lots of colors that can look good with those colors.

Brown, blue, lavendar, purple, yellow, orange, green, grey, beige...it's really a matter of what colors you like and what effect you're trying for.

If you go with roses, I'd be inclined to go with some of the more classic, restrained colors: soft lavendar, silver grey, brown. If you go tropical, think turquoise, purple, sunshine yellow, orange, or a lush shade of green.

Look at some colors together (paint chips, fabric swatches, a color wheel) and get an idea of what really makes you happy. Most of all, make sure you pick the colors that delight you rather than simply what's fashionable or expected. When you find a combination that makes you smile, that's your palette.

It's really as easy as that.
Reply:Yellow, green, pink, deep red, champain, purple. go do davids bridal and build you wedding. They have bouquets that will look like what you want, then you can add your brides maids and see what dresses look good with the bouquets. and it will be fun for you to do to. All you have to do is go to davidsbridal.com and click on the dress your wedding link! good luck and have fun!
Reply:For one, you have plenty of time, don't worry. Orange or yellow are nice bright summer colors, go well with pink and red.
Reply:I think those colors would go well with a lavender orchid color. look at bridesmaids dress at www.davidsbridal.com in "Wild Orchid"

If thats too many warm colors for you, look at the Lilac. its a bluer color purple.

But my first instincts say purple!!

Look at decorations and especially flowers in the red and pink color category at www.theknot.com, and see what colors are used with them to accent them. they have a ton of pictures and you can see which one you like best.

congrats!! and dont stress!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:my wedding is may 2008. my bridesmaids are wearing a soft yellow dress and they will all have red flowers. i think that would be a nice color for summer.
Reply:How about gold? I had pink and white flowers, the girls wore antique gold dresses.
Reply:So pick a color you like. Trust me, even you and your groom won't remember much about your wedding. Your wedding won't even be the most important day of your life. The days, months and years to follow are much more important. So lighten up. Don't become so obsessed about your wedding that your groom can't stand you anymore. He probably won't care anyway. Men don't usually worry about this type of thing, so why do women? So just have fun and no more worrying, okay?
Reply:What you should do is have a black dress for the girls it will make the pink and red flowers show more.

Trust me!!!!

Go to http://www.theknot.com
Reply:i think mocha
Reply:u shuld get like a peachy color it matches evrywwell w/ those 2 colors....go0d luck and i wish u guys tha best in life

?autumnrain9191?
Reply:Black ... i think that will be different and hot
Reply:I think green would make a great choice. Bright green if you want the colors to pop and pale jade or mint if you want a subtle contrast. Green would make your other colors stand out and you could use those beautiful green orchids.
Reply:How about mocha or go really tropical with a vibrant peridot green or intense magenta or tropical apricot color. Your flowers should pop off any of those colors. A neat ttool to visualize how your colors will work is:
