Wedding Colors?

I cant decide on a wedding color. Ok I want the colors to be tropical blue and chocolate brown. But I figured that since majority or the wedding is going to be focused on my I would give him the colors he wanted so His favorite color is red. But wht else can i put with it???? Need help. And I dont have any ideas as to the flowers the girls will carry or wht kind of decorations I want plz. help. Itz not until next year but still.

Red goes perfect with gold. My sisters wedding used red with gold trimmings. It was beautiful. If not go with white thats more predictable
Reply:yes I agree with sleeping beauty...chocolate and red are both my favorite colors and I think they would be beautiful together, then you would have the color you want and his color too :) The girls could carry a mixture of red and chocolate with a little white or some carry red and some carry chocolate. You could go with chocolate dresses or red dresses play with it a little very pretty.
Reply:I was going to have a red and black wedding. I thought it was so beautiful. But, I changed bc of the popularity.



When I was having Red/black. MY centerpieces were going to be big bowls of strawberries and then red toothpicks and different dips. With rose petals. Then we cancelled the dips and got mini chocolate fountains online and were going to use those on the tables. I think that edible centerpieces are the most cost effective. :-)



My girls were going to wear black simple strapless dresses that had a train to the floor with a red sash that also hung to the floor.



I had a plain ivory gown and my fiance was wearing black with red accents.



We had red and ivory flowers.

We ended up changing to outside all white wedding! Its so much easier!
Reply:I'd say red, white, black is a nice colors. But since you wanted chocolate brown, be different and use chocolate brown and red together. That way you would have a color he likes and one color you like. Below are brown and red photos.

Reply:i think red is a little too loud if you know what i mean and very bold......more elegant...so i think you would be spening more with this color....especially with flowers......i would incorporate a groomsmen cake with red in it or something or have the flowers on the groomsmen to be red and maybe a garter with red trim eh?...that'll surprise em......i think red accents are nice but a lot of red it too much unless you have a desinger on your hands. i like the tropial blue but i dunno about brown with it......you need bridal mags girl....or go to theweddingchannel.com....just like that get some ideas there.
Reply:have you looked at the tropical blue with the deep red? i saw it in a spread in a magazine and it was beautiful....so much so, that had i seen that before planning my colors, i would have run with that color sheme, i think it was in the knot magazine for southern california.....very pretty, and you both get what you want :)
Reply:Red is pritty, but overused. I would only use it if your having a christmas wedding. The blue and brown are very nice and you can play with it alot more then you could red. using it in the cake and on the tables and for the favors. The only colors that compliment red are white and black, boring.
Reply:think about the colours terms of food and it works wonders, strawberries and cream, choc cake and ice cream, etc. flowers wise it depends on whether you want them for decoration, scent, colour or style. there are alot of websites that you can look at which will help you pick the flowers depending on what you want them for. hope this helps x
Reply:You can do the chocolate and red! A little something for him and you also! That would be a nice color combo and look in the Spring 08 Martha Stewart magazine for some ideas on the other stuff..I just got one and it had some nice stuff in it.
Reply:my aunts main color was red...she was married on feb 15th. i wish i had pictures to show you but it was mostly red and white {girls carried white roses and she carried a mix of red and white roses.} I think those colors would look beautiful especially if you use roses!

Reply:My favorite is red. I think dark red wine color is very pretty for wedding. You should do dark red wine and brown for your wedding. Those two colors might look very good together. Burgundy is pretty too.
