Does your city have....?

I'm looking for cities that have outdoor water fountains. Just got back from Madison, Wisconsin. They have one in their outdoor mall, surrounded by flowers with benches so you can sit and enjoy it. They also have an indoor year round tropical garden complete with a waterfall. Does your city have anything like these? I'd love to visit places like that but don't know where they are. Thanks.

Almost every downtown in the U.S. has fountains of some sort. Dallas, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco....

Although if you want to see beautiful gardens, museums and outdoor theater than visit Balboa Park in San Diego. They have very beautiful fountains and architecture. It covers 1200 acres and also includes the San Diego Zoo so I'm sure you can find something to do there. Plus, you can see the Pacific Ocean from some parts of the park. Take a look at their website, you'll want to hop on a plane tomorrow.
Reply:I believe Kansas City, MO holds the record for most fountains in any American City.

I am from Pittsburgh where we have the Point fountain at the front of the city which reaches heights of 150 feet.

The Pittsburgh Water-steps - which is a large chlorinated, heated fountain that you can play in near our Sports Stadiums

Needless to say fountains are pretty common in public areas of most cities.
