I need help figuring out what colors and centerpiece ideas for my wedding!?

I am having a lakefront august wedding in late afternoon and i want a formal yet semi tropical feel. My main color is apple red with roses, lilies, calla lilies, hydrangeas and dalias for the flowers. That's what my bouquet is going to be made up of and its all red. I need my centerpieces to be around $10-15 a piece and the tables are small and rectangular (4 person). I need some centerpiece ideas with the feel i am going for and any other decorating ideas, and some colors that go with red.

If you want to go with the semi-tropical feel, use palm fronds as table runners. Here is an example of the type of branch I'm talking about:

You can place votive candles down the center of each table. Maybe have a few flowers scattered down the center too. That wouldn't cost as much as a whole centerpiece arrangement.

Would your venue let you scatter some sand and shells on the tables?

Here's a nice idea: http://tinyurl.com/4tcfwk

I think that hot pinks, yellows, oranges, and maybe some turquoise and blue would be good with your red for a "tropical" feel.

Good luck!
Reply:A beautiful romantic, yet tropical idea is a tall, skinny vase (So not blocking peoples views of each other) with fake pearls (romantic) or beads (fun tropical colors) instead of water in it and some flowers in each. (You only need a few because the fake pearls or beads (art shop?) can be shown off, therefore, it will not look empty. The flowers would be placed into the beads or fake pearls, and it would look great!

Hope you like this idea...

CONGRATS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY! XO
Reply:Well my flowers are going to be lilies for sure. What I'm planning on doing with my centerpieces is Getting a clear bowl, put clear stones in the bottom (just 1 layer) then fill half way with water, and put floating candles in it. Then put lilies around the outside of the bowl. Hope I helped! =)
Reply:My fav: Anchor a flower, hydrangeas work, in a bubble bowl and fill it with water. Then place tea light around it. Very pretty and not terribly costly!
Reply:How about low vases of cranberries and water and a few blooms floating?

This would also be a cute option. You could use red pebbles instead of sand.

A dish, tray or cake stand with a pile of red apples with cream flowers would look lovely.

Another beautiful and I think semi tropical look.
